Bob the Pumpkin
My Big Hill
It all started with Gideon's baby bear. He was mad at me because I wouldn't adopt his baby bear and be his mom. I tried to tell him he should be baby bear's dad, but he wanted to be baby bear's brother. Anyway he was mad at me and was hiding under a blanket so that he could work out his anger. Larke and Eden started climbing on him having fun. He started walking around the room with the blanket on his head. He ran straight into the coffee table which made him fall over and smack his head really hard on said table. I thought the bump quite impressive. It's the biggest any of my kids have ever had. I little ice, tylenol and ice cream later produced a happier boy. At first he did not want any pictures. I think he was embarrassed, but we forced it so we could document the biggest hill thus far in our family.
Boo at the Zoo
So we went trick or treating at the zoo on Saturday. The kids had so much fun. We had to park about a mile away from the zoo because it was so crowded, but the kids thought it was awesome that we got to take a trolley to the zoo so it ended up being fine. It was fun to see all the other costumes. One of my favorites was a girl in a purple sweat suit with blown up purple balloons all over to make her a bunch of grapes. Very cute. There were lots of Tinkerbells and a few Peter Pans, but nobody with all three. It was fun. Eden loved being Wendy.

Fun for the Hulk Family
So Matt surprised me last night. I came home from volleyball practice not to my cute little Jones Family. But to an all new big, green and excited Hulk Family. When I walked through the door from volleyball all three kids jumped out at me and said surprise. When Matt came to pick up the kids he showed me that he bought Larke some Hulk pajamas because she seems to like the Hulk alot. Apparently the other kids formed a mutiny as soon as they left the church that they liked Hulk just as much as Larke. They convinced Matt that they all needed Hulk pajamas, thus I now have a whole Hulk Family. Matt is so proud. I don't think it took that much convincing, how about you?
PS. Gideon was so excited that he wasn't happy til I took some pictures. All morning he was asking me when I was going to put it on our blog.

Eden, My Dancing Queen
So today was Eden's last dance class for a while. The class will start again in January. I, however, am not sure she is going to be in the class. She was such a troublemaker in class today. It actually depressed me to watch how she ignored her very patient teacher. Out of the six girls she was the worst at following directions by far. I mean she ignores me all the time, but I expect that. I know that Eden likes things her own way and that she can be stubborn, but I guess I thought her love of dancing would overcome that. Eden has loved dancing ever since she could walk. I guess she will always dance to her own drum. Maybe she just needs to grow up a little bit more before I let her do another class. I don't know.
Our Trip to San Francisco
The first thing we went to go see in SF was actually in San Jose, about an hour away from downtown. The Winchester Mystery House was very fun. It was built by Mrs. Sarah Winchester starting in 1884. The construction went on in the house for 24 hrs. a day until she died 38 years later. She believed that she was being haunted by the ghosts of people killed by the Winchester Rifle. She built the house to either appease the ghosts or to confuse them. There are a 160 rooms in the house. There are not very many hallways. The rooms are all interconnected. It was a cool house, we all really enjoyed the tours that we went on. It was nice to be able to do the tour with our friends Todd and Cheri.
The next day we went to the Oakland Temple which was very beautiful and a very good experience. Later in the afternoon we took a ferry our to the Rock, Alcatraz Prison. This was also very cool. We did an extra free, side tour about the military history of the island and how it went from fort to military prison to federal prison. Our guide was very entertaining and it was probably the highlight of our trip to Alcatraz. Matt and I watched Escape From Alcatraz to prepare for our trip which also made it a little more fun. Our friends Justin and Holly went to Alcatraz with us, which was awesome.
After our Scitor meeting on Saturday, all six of us walked a couple of miles to Fisherman's Wharf to see the sea lions and then to Ghiradelli Square for some awesome chocolate. Anyone who has been to San Francisco will believe me when I say that we walked up hill which ever direction we went in and that is only a slight exaggeration. It seemed like you were either walking uphill or downhill, nothing was flat.
It was a wonderful trip. Thanks to Scitor ( the company Matt works for) for taking us all there.

Tag! 8 Random Habits/Facts About Me

1. Lisa said this one too, but Thursday has always been my favorite day of the week for several reasons. Thursday has all of the anticipation of Friday being the next day, but none of the disappointment. Also Lost is on on Thursday. Plus Scrapbooking and Book Group. Thursday is just an all around good day.
2. I find myself wasting time playing minesweeper when I have some time. What a waste, but for some reason I really like it.
3. I know lots of random Comic book facts, like the difference between DC and Marvel, how Jean Grey becomes the Phoenix, who Thanos is... I know, it is so ridiculous.
4. I like to randomly break out into song. However I can never remember what group sings what song.
5. As an adult I've become much more interested in American history. I've read books about the Revolutionary War, the Civil War and WWII. Now I'd really like to read about WWI and The Vietnam War. If any of you know of any books on these topic let me know.
6. I am pretty good about guessing the ending of movies and books. I enjoy a good story. so when I can't guess the ending or when I'm so sucked into a story that I don't even think about the ending then I know that I really like the book/movie.
7. I have a desire to some day be rich enough to pal around Europe for a year or two living in different countries just long enough to learn how to speak the language and see all the sights and then move on to the next place. Top of my list: Prague, Sweden, England...
8. I love flowers. I would have fresh flowers weekly if not daily if I could afford it.
Tag: The only people I can think of is Sharon, M'Recia, and Jen. They all need a reason to do a new post and they are the only one I know of who haven't been tagged. So Sharon, M'Recia, and Jen get on it, and of course anyone else that wants to.
Here are the rules1: Each player starts with 8 random habits/facts about themselves 2: People who are tagged need to write a post on their blog about their eight things and post these rules. 3: At the end of the post you need to choose 8 people to get tagged and list their names.

Peter Pan and other Adventures
This morning he asked me how skin stays on our bodies. So I explained how our bodies have layers of bones, muscles, ligaments, blood vessels and skin. Then he wanted to know about our eyes and how they work. He thought that it was really cool that our eyes are connected to the brain. It was really fun to answer his questions about the body.
