Eden's frog Chubby died at the end of January. We had had him a good 6 months. The kids loved feeding him worms and grasshoppers they caught themselves. They loved watching him jump around the back yard and I believe Eden even tried kissing him a couple of times to see if he would turn into a Prince. I had thought that Chubby wasn't looking so good for a week. I was pretty worried that he was sick. Then one evening he was just dead not moving or eating the food that was in the bowl he was leaning on. It was really sad.
Matt was so sweet. He told Eden we could have a funeral. She invited several friends. The Olsten family came to support Eden. Matt made cookies for the event and even added some green food coloring. Then he also made a special green punch.Matt led the services and surprised me by crying while he said the opening prayer. He was just so touched by Eden's pain, and there I was trying hard not to laugh. It really was sweet to see him caring so much about Eden and wishing to ease her pain.
These are some pictures I took back in October when Eden let Chubby out one time to jump around.
You were a great pet Chubby, we loved you tons!
