Tag! 8 Random Habits/Facts About Me

1. Lisa said this one too, but Thursday has always been my favorite day of the week for several reasons. Thursday has all of the anticipation of Friday being the next day, but none of the disappointment. Also Lost is on on Thursday. Plus Scrapbooking and Book Group. Thursday is just an all around good day.

2. I find myself wasting time playing minesweeper when I have some time. What a waste, but for some reason I really like it.

3. I know lots of random Comic book facts, like the difference between DC and Marvel, how Jean Grey becomes the Phoenix, who Thanos is... I know, it is so ridiculous.

4. I like to randomly break out into song. However I can never remember what group sings what song.

5. As an adult I've become much more interested in American history. I've read books about the Revolutionary War, the Civil War and WWII. Now I'd really like to read about WWI and The Vietnam War. If any of you know of any books on these topic let me know.

6. I am pretty good about guessing the ending of movies and books. I enjoy a good story. so when I can't guess the ending or when I'm so sucked into a story that I don't even think about the ending then I know that I really like the book/movie.

7. I have a desire to some day be rich enough to pal around Europe for a year or two living in different countries just long enough to learn how to speak the language and see all the sights and then move on to the next place. Top of my list: Prague, Sweden, England...

8. I love flowers. I would have fresh flowers weekly if not daily if I could afford it.

Christmas Tags

So this month for our card group here we are doing Christmas tags instead of cards. I finished my tags and I am very happy with how they turned out. Especially the poinsetta one. It was so easy and it turned out beautiful. Thanks to Becky for all her great ideas, they would not have turned out so cute without her. The snowmen were alot of work, but I'm happy with them. I'm so glad that I joined this card group. It has been so much fun.

We Went To The Zoo

We went to the zoo last week with some friends. It was a beautiful day before it got really cold. The kids had a great time and they were all really good until about 12:30pm when Eden lost it. So we left, but all in all a ggod day.

Peter Pan and other Adventures

So Gideon has been working with Matt every night on finishing this abridged version of Peter Pan. It has been so fun to see him progress literally everyday. Some of the words he has been able to read are: the, go, said, and, to, rock, of, off, on, no, it, is, in, he, she, up, down, I, a, but, boy, boat, upon, onto, going, Hook, Peter Pan, Wendy, and pirate. His teacher has said that is doing very well at school. It is so fun to see him so excited to learn.
This morning he asked me how skin stays on our bodies. So I explained how our bodies have layers of bones, muscles, ligaments, blood vessels and skin. Then he wanted to know about our eyes and how they work. He thought that it was really cool that our eyes are connected to the brain. It was really fun to answer his questions about the body.

My Funny Little Eden Girl

So every once in a while Eden will fall asleep in the car in the afternoon. This picture is from yesterday after picking Gideon up from school. I had this hat in the car for who knows why and Eden decided to put it on for fun. I thought it was pretty fun that she used it to block out the sun when she got tired. She is such a funny little girl. She makes me smile with her antics. Eden is constantly making up her own songs, she insists on wearing skirts with every outfit including pajamas, and she loves to compliment people. She tells Matt every day that she loves him and his car and that it is not a joke. Just this morning she told me that she loved my hairdo. One of her favorite things to compliment are peoples shoes. She just loves shoes. I love my little E-d-d!

I Love Kohl's!

I went with my sister LeAnn to Kohl's last Friday. While there I found these ducky pajamas for Larke that match her Ducky blanket perfectly, and I knew that I could not leave the store without them. Larke actually spotted them from across the store shortly after I did. She said ducky, ducky, ducky. She had to hold them the rest of the time we were at the store. She absolutely loves these pajamas.
