Three Tiered Skirts for my Girls

Look what I did. I am so excited.

I had this left over material from doing rag dolls for the girls. I haven't finished those yet so you'll have to wait to see those pictures. By time I'm done with this project each of the girls will have matching skirts and rag dolls. I can't wait.
This is where I got the instruction and idea from. I am so pleased with how it turned out. http://indietutes.blogspot.com/2008/11/tiered-skirt-aka-twirl-skirt.html

It's a ...

Here's the feet!
This is supposed to be telling you that it's a boy, but I had to have Becky explain it to me before I could see anything. Now it makes sense, I think.

Here's the face and the stomach.

BOY!!!!!!!

We are all so excited to get to have a boy added to our family. We had our ultrasound on Tuesday and got to see our healthy looking baby boy. We are not decided on a name yet. We have several that we like, but we haven't decided. We were a little mean to the kids I guess. We thought it would be fun to tell them that it was a girl first. When we did Gideon started crying and told me that he really wanted a baby brother. I said "well that's good because it's really a boy". He was so excited after that. He was jumping up and down and yelling "It's a Boy, It's a Boy!" Eden keeps coming up to me asking if she can hug and kiss the baby. Then she very gently hugs my tummy and softly talks to the baby. She is very excited that it is a boy too, but it took her a little bit longer to get that we were saying that it was a boy. Larke has no idea that in about 4 months and a little her life is going to be turned upside down. Matt did finally get her to point to me when he asked her where the baby was last night. I hope we can teach her before the baby comes to be a lot more gentle. There you have it folks that's our news. Sorry it took me so long, but I really was waiting to scan some pictures first.

Happy Valentine's Day

So the kids got a dollar each from their Grandma Anne and their Grandma Christenson for Valentines Day. We took them to the dollar store and let them each pick out two things. Gideon got a couple of Speed Racer cars and Eden and Larke both got a Helium ballon along with a puzzle and a ball. Anyway the picture above is what Eden did with the string of her balloon on the way home in the car. She also had it wrapped around the seat belt in the car so Matt cut that part of the string before we could bring her into the house. Nice isn't it. She got a very stern talking to about wrapping things around her neck. Hopefully she listened.

The Zoo

I had the funnest trip to the zoo today with just me and the kids. Gideon was so interested in all the animals and wanted to know what all the plaques said. His favorites today were the giraffes and the Rhinos. He was very fun. Eden was so cute. We got to the elephants and Eden yells "Elephants, it's me, Eden!" twice at them. I couldn't tell her to stop yelling at the elephants because I was laughing too much. Larke was good and had fun too. I think her favorite was looking at all of the fish. It was a good day.

This One's For You M'Recia

So these are the cards that I made this month for my card group. They are dedicated to my sister in law M'Recia since they are her wedding colors. I hope you like them.
